Do you ever get asked the question, “What do you do?” Of course you do. Right? It’s like one of the most basic questions out there . . . unless your a multi-passionate female coach and entrepreneur. Then all of a sudden things get complicated.

Last week I landed here in Wales and the taxi driver who took me from the airport to the train station was in the mood for a chat.

Taxi driver: What do you do?

Me: I’m a Women’s Health Coach.

Taxi driver: I’m not sure what that means.

Me: Ummm . . .

It feels really uncomfortable not having a clear answer, especially when the work you do is so close to your heart. Giving your title isn’t enough, but the traditional elevator speech doesn’t quite cut it either.

My friend and mentor Sora Surya No has a solution to this and it’s called “the power statement.” When I met up with her last month in London, she inspired me to put pen to paper and come up with a power statement that describes not only what I do but who I serve and why.

“My name is Jolinda Johnson and I believe that painful periods, imbalanced hormones, and uncontrolled stress should be the exception for the modern-day woman—not the norm.

My unique way of solving this problem is through combining my skills as a Certified Holistic Health Coach, a Certified Life Coach, and a priestess with exceptional intuitive gifts to approach women’s health from all angles: body, mind, and soul.

Through my six-month program Whole, Healthy, Her, I help women re-balance their hormones, live in harmony with their cycles, and feel at home in their own skin. It’s not a quick fix, but rather a journey, that will bring you back to yourself.

As a result of us working together, you will rediscover your cycle and the magic of each its phases, reconnect to your body and all of its wisdom, reign in the stress and reignite your inner fire, and begin to nourish yourself from a place of acceptance, compassion, and unconditional love.”

Ok, ok . . . maybe it’s a little much to go into from the back seat of a taxi, but it is what I do and I do it well.

If you’ve been thinking of working with me for a while, I’m taking new 1:1 clients from September 16th. Will the next beautiful woman I work with be you?
